From February, 1 till March, 2 the Museum of Dolls and Children Books "Wonderland" is closed for re-exposition.

On February, 6 at 12.00 the interactive children's program "English Songs for Kids" will take place in the museum "Literary Life of the Urals of the XIX Century" (Tolmachev St., 41, tel. 371-22-81) (for children from 3 to 7 years old). At the event you will meet Shaltay-Boltay, Kotausi and Mausi, three very lovely fairies, wise men in one basin, Jack who constructed the house and other heroes who are acquainted to us since the early childhood by Marshak and Chukovsky's remarkable translations. Do you know what is inside your boys and girls? British give us the answer to this question. In the ancient Victorian drawing room amid beautiful toys and books we will read and play favorite children's songs and verses, we will dance ancient English and Irish dances. The ticket price is 400 rubles (adult + a child). The child without an adult - 300 rubles. Preliminary registration is necessary by tel. 371-22-81.

On February, 11 at 15.00 the exhibition "The Most Gracious Manifesto" (the history in a candy wrapper) will be opened in the museum "Literary Life of the Urals of the XIX Century" (Tolmachev St., 41, tel. 371-22-81) (the exhibition is organized together with the Museum of a label).

On February, 13 at 14.00 the Pushkin's evening will take place in the museum "Literary Life of the Urals of the XIX Century" (Tolmachev St., 41, tel. 371-22-81).

On February, 14 at 13.00 the interactive program "At the noisy ball" will take place in the museum of D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak (Pushkin St., 27, tel. 371-35-76) (for children from 5 to 10 years old). Children will learn about the history of balls in Russia, about etiquette ball culture. How were balls organized? What rooms were prepared? What dishes were preferred? Children who will be at the holiday will learn a lot of interesting information. For girls it will be especially interesting to learn about ball fashion, about flowers and length of dresses, about accessories, footwear and fans. For boys - about those rules which gentlemen had to observe strictly at the balls. Children will study elements of dances: polonaise, mazurka. They will learn about cotillion and will play it. The language of a fan and a beauty spot, of flowers and kerchiefs - all this information will be interesting for modern children. The adults who came with children also take part in the holiday. Preliminary registration is necessary. The cost of the child ticket is 200 rubles, the adult ticket - 100 rubles.

On February, 20 at 12.00 the interactive children's program "Fairy tales for Yuki: Winter" will take place in the museum "Literary Life of the Urals of the XIX Century" (Tolmachev St., 41, tel. 371-22-81) (for children since 4 years old). Though Japanese Christmas and New Year are similar to our holidays, they have their special color. Instead of the Christmas goose they eat a strawberry pie, instead the fir-tree habitual to us they mount the bamboo, games with tops, Daruma doll realizing your wishes, a cheerful game "Laughter for Happiness". We will show, tell and play three Japanese fairy tales: "The tsar of monkeys and a magic coin", "Wild strawberry under snow" and "Momotaro", we will learn a simple cheerful dance of monkeys under the popular children's song, we will draw and paint our own Daruma. And at the holiday Setsubun we will banish all the evil ghosts for they will not disturb us in a new year. The ticket price is 400 rubles (adult + a child). The child without an adult - 300 rubles. On February, 21 in 12.00 and 14.00 the interactive program for children "Gray Neck" will take place in the museum of D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak (Pushkin St., 27, tel. 371-35-76) (for children from 3 to 6 years old). It is a family holiday based on motives of the known fairy tale of D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak. The kind Storyteller together with guests go to the forest clearing where there are real miracles: the recovered heroes get out the magic trunk and the fairy tale begins! Children not only play and dance, they become friends of the duck, sympathize with her grief and help to escape from the evil fox. For children of the age from 3 to 5 years. Preliminary registration is necessary. The cost of the ticket is 300 rubles (one adult and a child).

On February, 24 at 19.00 the mystical excursion "Secrets of things of the old house" will take place in the museum of D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak (Pushkin St., 27, tel. 371-35-76). The excursion will be in the evening when there is twilight behind the windows and the candles are lit in the house. The uniqueness of the walk in the old house is also that at this time guests can approach exhibits and see ancient things, furniture, books, photos... not from far away as usual in the day-time but within walking distance. Guests will learn a lot of mystical stories from the life of this house and then they will receive the Ural stone charm for memory. After the walk the guests will taste tea made according to recipes of the hostess of the house Anna Semenovna Mamina, will listen to slow conversations about the past of Yekaterinburg, about old times, about traditions of that time... Preliminary registration by phone is necessary. The ticket cost is 300 rubles.

On February, 25 at 16.00 the exhibition "The "Bad" play of Bulgakov" devoted to the 125th anniversary of the writer will be opened in the museum "Literary Life of the Urals of the XIX Century" (Tolmachev St., 41, tel. 371-22-81) (together with the museum of the Moscow Art Theatre).
